Two worlds shaped STORMBLADE: twenty-five years inside complex transformation—and practical experience under sail.

Inside complex transformation.

Andreas has spent twenty-five years working at the intersection of strategy, organizational design, governance and complex transformation. His experience spans finance and banking, insurance, pharmaceuticals and chemicals, automotive and energy—often in regulated or systemically relevant environments where the cost of drift is substantial.

He has worked across Europe, North America and Asia in major transformation programs. Client names remain confidential; the patterns he observed do not. Sophisticated methodologies can reach their limits when politics, hidden agendas, accountability and decision latency become decisive.

The ocean as a proving ground.

Andreas has been sailing since 1988 and holds a sailing licence. His practical experience on the water gives him a tangible perspective on leadership when resources are finite, information is incomplete, conditions shift and people remain interdependent.

Why STORMBLADE—and why now.

The underlying concept has developed over more than two decades; the idea of turning it into a book began roughly ten to twelve years ago. Andreas wanted to stop rebuilding the same lessons from zero each time a new transformation encountered wishful thinking, internal politics or a failure to face reality.

STORMBLADE connects the complicated domain that leaders can master—process, technology, governance and operating standards—with the complex reality they can only navigate. The book is deliberately serious in substance and vivid in context. It is not a fantasy about heroic leadership. It is a practical system built from consequences that were real.

Professional perspective.

Andreas works with executive boards, C-suite leaders, transformation directors, enterprise architects, consultants and the people accountable for major programs. His focus is directional and navigational leadership: restoring decision capability before cost, time and budget overruns remove the remaining options.

He is a Certified Supervisory Board Member (Steinbeis / Deutsche Börse), Dipl. Mind Coach, SAFe Certified Trainer and Agile Coach (SPC), and Dipl. Ing. (BA). He is available for selected interviews, podcasts, leadership conversations and speaking engagements.
